About HRPC

Human Rights Protection Cell (HRPC) is a leading non-governmental organization dedicated to safeguarding human rights and ensuring justice for every individual. Registered under the Indian Trust Act, 1882, the NGO Council of India (NCI), and NITI Aayog (NGO Darpan), HRPC works towards promoting equality, legal awareness, and social justice across the nation.

With its head office in New Delhi and branches at block, district, division, and state levels, HRPC has a strong national presence. Additionally, the organization is registered under Income Tax sections 12A and 80G, ensuring tax benefits for donations and contributions.

Our National Leadership

Dr Jyoti Zongluju, a renowned Supreme Court Advocate, PhD in Law, Human Rights Activist, and India Inspirational Women Award Winner, leads HRPC as the National Chairperson. Known as "The Legal Lady" in India and internationally, Dr Zongluju has played a pivotal role in legal advocacy and human rights protection.

Our Mission and Core Functions

At HRPC, we believe in justice, equality, and empowerment. Our core activities include:

  1. Protection of Human Rights Activists – Supporting those who fight for justice.
  2. Legal Aid & Assistance – Offering legal guidance to victims.
  3. Public Awareness & Training – Educating citizens about their rights.
  4. Investigation & Reporting – Addressing irregularities in government offices.
  5. Social & Legal Inspections – Ensuring compliance with human rights laws.
  6. Advocacy Against Social Issues – Fighting against corruption, bonded labour, gender discrimination, and child exploitation.

HRPC operates under the Indian Human Rights Protection Act (1993) and the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (1948) to ensure justice for all.

How We Help

HRPC provides justice to victims through constitutional and legal mechanisms, including:

  1. Public Interest Litigations (PILs) – Taking legal action for public welfare.
  2. Human Rights Commissions – Advocating cases at national and state levels.
  3. Lok Adalats – Ensuring speedy justice outside traditional courts.
  4. Collaboration with Experts – Partnering with legal advisors, journalists, and activists to strengthen human rights protection.

With our vast network of trained professionals, HRPC has successfully helped thousands of victims regain their rights and dignity.

  1. Rescuing victims of human trafficking and child labour
  2. Filing impactful PILs in High Courts and the Supreme Court
  3. Demanding CBI and CID investigations for critical cases
  4. Providing justice through the Women’s and Child Protection Commissions
  5. Partnering with Padma Shri awardees, legal experts, and social activists
  6. Expanding nationwide, ensuring justice for thousands
